As a creative, Rory is deeply inspired by the Bauhaus aesthetic which he incorporates across all his professional pursuits. Similarly, the brand’s trademark scents are built upon his nostalgia of rich, sweet fig and the bergamot notes of Sicilian summers. Formulating a versatile, performance-based Shampoo, Conditioner and Mask that compliments all hair types was Rory’s aim. Knowing superior hair results stem from regular maintenance using quality elements, Rory hand selected natural nutrient dense ingredients that work together to nurture, soften and protect your hair. His hair care line promotes nourishment, repair and healthy growth performing without the use of sulphates, parabens, silicones and palm oil. His Shampoo, Conditioner and Mask are vegan, cruelty free, free of synthetic and animal-based ingredients, and contains natural botanicals to care for your hair. These products are held in bottles and jars which are made from infinitely recyclable aluminium in a bid to minimise the use of plastic within the hair care industry.
As an earth conscious individual, Rory wanted to ensure his all natural hair care product line reaches his clients in vessels that are as good for the environment as they are for their hair. Rory’s holistic approach has ensured the sale and distribution of his line is plastic free wherever possible. He has carefully planned to use recycled cardboard packing boxes and paper based packing wrap, biodegradable packing tape and the repurposing of manufacturer packaging. Learning that only 12% of the 12.5 megatonnes of plastic consumed in Australia yearly is recycled but 90% of aluminium is; drove him to make his line’s bottles and jars from infinitely recyclable aluminium. He produces 250 ml and 1L refills for his 250ml Shampoo and 250 ml Conditioner so that the original vessels can recycled and the pump can be be transferred and reused over and over. The product bottles, refills bottles and caps can then ultimately recycled at the end of their life. His other products including his Mulberry Silk Pillowcases and Boar Hair Bristle brush are designed for longevity so they stay out of landfill and in your homes for years to come. His signature scented candle is a beautiful marble lidded vessel with a plethora of uses available post burn. Rory sees earth responsible trading as an important aspect of his business, and recognises it is constantly evolving. He is is always looking for opportunities for his brand to be more sustainable.
